Youth (13yrs - Grade 12) Happens every Friday during the school term in Two42 and is for young people between ages 13 – matric (grade 12). The program consists of: ice-breakers games and sport discipleship And prayer We try to have as much fun as possible and aim to disciple the teens that are in the group or become part of the group to: -surrender to Jesus -follow Jesus (model their lives after Him) -then to be a witness(or proof) of the truth found in Christ to friends and family with their lifestyle and the message of Jesus. We long to see our generation following Jesus! Many young people today say that they are christians, or say that they believe in Jesus, but are living lives that reflect the influence of a world system that is in direct opposition to the God of the Bible. This is a result of teens being told they can accept Jesus without considering what the implications of coming to Christ really are! Jesus spoke about repentance and being Born-again! Sadly many young people respond to an emotion, say a prayer and are told they are now saved. The message our teens need to hear is: -That God loves them and died for them and longs for a relationship with them. -That without an encounter with the living Christ that involves: CONVICTION by the HOLY SPIRIT, CONSIDERATION (counting the cost / considering the consequences of following Jesus) and REPENTANCE (making a decision to surrender to Christ), they are not saved. -And that by crying out to God as a result of being convicted they can be saved! -And lastly that if our lives are still our own, and we are happy living in ways that oppose God, then we probably don’t have salvation in us – because salvation produces fruit! Our hope is that young Christ followers will become bold in what they believe and know, and that those who are compromised will read the gauge of their lifestyles and surrender to Christ, and that young people would become a undeniable witness of the living Christ in the church! For more information please contact the church office. Young AdultsWe encourage young adults between the ages of 17 and 25 to get involved with community groups and ministries that are part of the life of the local church. We gather in homes for discussion and to socialise - we also gather around sport and interests like: volleyball, squash, braais and spectator sports (rugby, cricket, soccer, etc...). There are no set times for things like sport - so the best thing to do is contact the person involved so that you can be notified when we gather. There are also events during the year which are advertised on this site.
